Pickleball

SCHEDULE: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 AM
LOCATION: Church Ed Building
EMAIL SUBJECT: Pickleball

Are you ready for Pickleball? You don’t know what it is? Well, it has nothing to do with pickles, or even cu- cumbers. It is one of the fastest growing sports in America, and it happens to be senior friendly. The game is a mix of tennis, platform tennis, paddleball, and maybe racquetball. Getting a theme, this is a racquet sport played with a paddle designed for Pickleball and a special ball that is somewhat like a wiffleball. The court is a bit less than half the size of a tennis court, so there is less running; and, with a light ball, there is no stress on the wrist, elbow or shoulder. So, if you have tennis elbow, playing Pickleball will not further injure your arm. If you have not yet expressed interest, please email me so I can add you to the Pickleball contact list. And ask your wife to play, your friends to play. If you are curious about the rules, go to USAPA.org or, to see some game play, just go to YouTube and do a search for pickleball. Hope to see you on the courts soon.
